21st December 2018 first and second year (groups E and F and A-D) – AS I HAVE HAD TO PUT OFF THE EXAM TO 21ST DECEMBER, THE FORM HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO THE HIGH NUMBER OF STUDENTS. THERW WILL BE ANOTHER SITTING IN JANUARY.

SECOND-YEAR NEW WRITING TASK FORMAT
As from the academic year 2017/18 the writing task part of the written exam has changed. Students will be required to write a discursive piece of writing of between 150 and 180 words. You will have 35 minutes to complete the task.
The task could be based on the following categories of tasks.
- Reacting to a statement,¬†e.g. Some /many people say that … how far do you agree / disagree with this statement<‘
- Comparing pros and cons of a situation or the alternatives¬†to it,¬†e.g. In your opinion, what are the best ways to .. & are there any disadvantages / ways to improve it / them?
- Reasoning why something is the case and predicting what might happen in the future, e.g Why do / does something happen now¬† / why has something changed & do you think it will always be like this in the future?
